1. Introductory Provisions

1.1 This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) describes how BeTheStar Media, s.r.o., with its registered office at Sezemínská 2029, Prague 5, 155 00, Czech Republic, Company ID: 05067065, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague under File No. C 257793 (hereinafter referred to as the “Provider”) as the data controller processes the personal data of users of the website www.bebookstar.com (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”).

1.2 This Policy provides information about the scope, purpose, and legal basis for the processing of personal data, as well as the rights of users (hereinafter referred to as the “User”) and how these rights can be exercised.

2. Scope and Purpose of Personal Data Processing

2.1 The Provider processes the User's personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the Processing of Personal Data.

  • Billing data: company name, company ID, VAT ID, billing address.

5. Consent to Data Processing

5.1 Where processing of personal data requires the User’s consent (e.g., for third-party marketing or profiling), such consent is always voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time, free of charge.

5.2 Unless otherwise specified, consent is granted for a period of three (3) years.

The User has the following rights with respect to the Provider:

7.3 Right to Erasure – to request the deletion of data that is no longer necessary or where consent has been withdrawn.

7.4 Right to Restriction of Processing – in certain cases, to request a limitation of data processing.

7.5 Right to Data Portability – to obtain their data in a structured, machine-readable format.

7.6 Right to Object – to object to data processing based on legitimate interest or for direct marketing purposes.

7.7 Right to Lodge a Complaint – with the Czech Data Protection Authority (www.uoou.cz) if the User believes their rights have been violated.

8. Final Provisions

8.1 This Policy is available on the Website and may be updated at any time.

8.2 Users will be informed of any changes in an appropriate manner (e.g., by email or notification upon login).

8.3 This Policy becomes effective on September 1, 2024.
